After Your Surgery

Once you are in stable condition, you will be discharged. It is normal to experience drowsiness, nausea, throat irritation, and muscle soreness for 12 to 24 hours after surgery.

Post Care: You will receive verbal and written post-operative instructions (please follow these instructions). A responsible adult must be available to discuss and sign these instructions before you will be allowed to go home. A nurse from our center will call you the next day after your surgery to check on your recovery. It is important that we have your correct contact information.

Transportation: DO NOT PLAN TO DRIVE yourself home or use public transportation after your procedure. A responsible adult MUST stay with you for 24 hours.
